Procedures/steps, duration, and fee for document legalization / certification / authentication / at the Austrian Embassy in Jakarta for study, employment/work, marital, and other purposes



A. Procedures/Steps


  1. Document to be legalized/certified/authenticated shall be first translated into German language by a certified sworn translator
  2. Copy of the document to be legalized that has been authenticated by its issuing institution (ex: university for diploma, civil registration office for birth certificate) and the translation shall be then legalized at Indonesia’s Ministry of Law and Human Rights and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  3. Copy of the document and the translation that have been legalized by Indonesia’s Ministry of Law and Human Rights and Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall be then legalized at the Embassy of Austria by showing its original version (original document)

B. Duration/Length of Time


  1. Translation = 3 working days
  2. Legalization at Indonesia’s Ministry of Law and Human Rights and Ministry of Foreign Affairs = 3 working days
  3. Legalization at Saudi Arabia Embassy = 3 - 4 working days

C. Fee/Cost


  1. Translation from Indonesian into German = IDR 200,000/translation page
  2. Legalization at Indonesia’s Ministry of Law and Human Rights and Ministry of Foreign Affairs = IDR 350,000/document
  3. Legalization at Saudi Arabia Embassy = IDR 500.000/document
