Procedures/steps, duration, and fee/cost for document legalization/certification/authentication/apostille at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia - Jakarta, Indonesia, for study, employment/work, marital, and other purposes



A. Procedures/Steps


  1. Document to be legalized/certified/authenticated shall be first translated into Arabic language by a certified sworn translator
  2. The translation result shall be then legalized at Indonesia’s Ministry of Law and Human Rights & Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  3. The translation result that has been legalized by Indonesia’s Ministry of Law and Human Rights and Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall be then legalized at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Jakarta. At this stage, the original document must be shown

B. Duration/Length of Time


  1. Translation = 3 working days
  2. Legalization at Indonesia’s Ministry of Law and Human Rights and Ministry of Foreign Affairs = 3 working days
  3. Legalization at Saudi Arabia Embassy = 4 - 7 working days

C. Fee/Cost


  1. Translation from Indonesian into Arabic = IDR 200,000/translation page
  2. Legalization at Indonesia’s Ministry of Law and Human Rights and Ministry of Foreign Affairs = IDR 350,000/document
  3. Legalization at Saudi Arabia Embassy = IDR 750.000/document
